Bicycle Rider Seriously Injured in Eureka Crash Near 7th and E Streets
EUREKA, CA (June 10, 2022) – A bicycle rider was seriously injured after a crash near 7th and E streets in Eureka.
According to an article published by the KYMKEMP, the accident took place on Saturday evening. Officers reported the collision at about 6 p.m.
The incident happened on June 4 when a van hit the bicycle rider for an unknown reason in Eureka. The two collided near the intersection of 7th and E streets.
Bicyclist Hit by Van
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the victim who sustained moderate injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the cyclist to a hospital for treatment. The report did not release the name of the wounded patient and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the motorist stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the rider. Officers forced the left lane of 7th Street to shut down at E Street following the incident.
The cause of the Eureka bicycle crash is still under investigation.
