3 Injured in Eureka Crash at 6th Street and I Street

EUREKA, CA (November 3, 2022) – A car crash left several people injured at 6th Street and I Street in Eureka.

According to a report published by the KYMKEMP, the accident took place on Thursday afternoon. Officers responded to the wreck shortly before 3 p.m.

The incident happened when a black Nissan Altima and a white Toyota Highlander collided in Eureka. The two cars crashed for an unknown reason at the intersection of 6th Street and I Street.

2 Cars Collide

One vehicle rolled over due to the impact of the collision. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found a total of three victims, including a child, hurt.

Two individuals sustained moderate injuries while the third survived with minor injuries. Two of them, a 1-year-old girl and a 20-year-old man obtained glass in their eyes, as a result of the accident.

Medical personnel then rushed the patients to the hospital for treatment. The names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time were not disclosed.

Meanwhile, officers forced the Nos 1 and 2 lanes of I Street to shut down between 5th and 6th Street following the wreck. The cause of the Eureka crash is still under investigation.
