2 Injured in Eureka Crash on Myrtle Avenue Near Freshwater Road
EUREKA, CA (July 12, 2022) – Two were injured after a car crash on Myrtle Avenue near Freshwater Road outside of Eureka.
According to an article published by the KYMKEMP, the accident took place on Tuesday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 7:40 a.m.
The California Highway Patrol said two vehicles collided head-on for an unknown reason near the 3 Corners Market outside of Eureka. They crashed on Myrtle Avenue near Freshwater Road.
2 Cars Collide
CHP described the cars as a Toyota Camry and an SUV. Both obtained major front-end damage due to the impact of the collision.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found one person lying on the ground. Two people ended up hurt as a result of the incident.
Medical personnel provided treatment to the patients for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the accident. The report did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, officers forced the southbound lane of Myrtle Avenue to shut down near Freshwater following the wreck. The cause of the Eureka crash is still under investigation.
