Man Hit and Injured by Semi Truck at Broadway and Clark Street Wednesday
Eureka, CA (April 22, 2021) – On April 21, Wednesday, a pedestrian sustained injuries following a traffic accident in the area of Broadway and W. Clark Street.
The Times-Standard News reported a semi truck was traveling south on Broadway at about 4 p.m. When the big rig approached the intersection at W. Clark Street, it struck a male party.
Pedestrian Hospitalized After Eureka Accident, April 21
Earlier reports indicated the pedestrian suffered major injuries as a result of the collision. Shortly after the wreck, medical personnel arrived at the site and rendered aid to the injured man. The Humboldt Bay Fire and City Ambulance responded to the crash site, and later transported the injured pedestrian to a hospital for treatment. Police continue to withhold the name of the patient pending confirmation.
Meanwhile, authorities mentioned the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation process. The precise cause of the major pedestrian accident in Eureka remained unknown.
