Pedestrian Victim Badly Hurt in Hit-and-Run
DATE OF COLLISION: Tuesday, September 25th
September 26, 2018- According to the Times-Standard, a major injury pedestrian hit-and-run was reported yesterday morning at the 1700 block of 4th Street near R Street.
Eureka police officials were notified of the incident which took place approximately around 12:30 a.m.
Authorities have reason to believe that a black two-door coupe is the vehicle likely responsible for hitting the unidentified victim before taking off and fleeing the scene.
The victim was confirmed to have suffered very serious injuries and was subsequently rushed to a hospital by ambulance, where they remained Wednesday afternoon.
Meanwhile, authorities are currently looking to pull surveillance footage from one of the local business which may have caught the vehicle’s license plate number in hope to track down and detain the suspect responsible.
