
LAGUNA BEACH, Calif. (March 14, 2023) — Eve Amanda Corinne Bartlet, 25, died in a Laguna Beach pedestrian accident Friday night while crossing South Coast Highway.
The collision occurred in the southbound lanes around 6:24 p.m. on March 10th, according to a press release by the city of Laguna Beach.
A driver in a sedan reportedly struck the young woman outside of a marked crosswalk on the busy highway near Mountain Road, the report said.
The Laguna Beach Police Department reported that Marine Safety officers came to help the injured woman and performed life-saving measures until arriving fire department crews took over.
Despite their efforts, the woman died following the crash. The Orange County Sheriff’s Department identified her as Eve Amanda Corinne Bartlet. They added that she had been experiencing homelessness.
Authorities noted that the driver stopped and cooperated with law enforcement.
