SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, Calif. (Feb. 1, 2023) — Evelyn Jane Mendelson, age 67, a resident of Partington, Manchester, England, died Saturday in a crash on Highway 62.
The deadly collision occurred about 10:24 a.m. on Saturday, January 28th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers of two vehicles crashed head-on due to unknown circumstances.
CHP officers responded to Highway 62, near mile marker 112.5, just west of Vidal Junction to help those involved in the collision.
They located a passenger from one of the vehicles, Evelyn Jane Mendelson, with major injuries, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner. She was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:02 a.m. the same day.
Witnesses may contact the Needles office of the California Highway Patrol.
