Everardo Perez Dies at a Hospital After Head-On Collision on Q Street
Bakersfield, CA (July 8, 2021) – Everardo Perez, a 26-year-old man, succumbed to his injuries following a suspected DUI car crash on Q Street on June 10, Thursday.

The KGET News reported an alleged drunk driver triggered three separate collision in Bakersfield. Preliminary investigation revealed the first collision took place in the 4200 block of Jewett Avenue. The drunk driver rammed with his pickup another vehicle along Jewett. The pickup then fled the area and ended up hitting a pedestrian at the intersection of Q and West Columbus Street. Officials said two innocent parties from the other vehicle, and the pedestrian all sustained minor to moderate injuries as a result of the wreck.
Per article published online, the suspect again drove away. In the 3900 block of Q Street, the pickup crashed head-on into a passenger vehicle driven by 26-year-old Everardo Perez.
Our sources confirmed the collision resulted in major injuries to Everardo Perez. Responding paramedics rushed the victim to Kern Medical. Later that day, the patient succumbed to his injuries and died.
Authorities added a passenger riding with Everardo Perez sustained minor injuries from the collision. Pending confirmation, the name of the injured passenger remained undisclosed.
Investigators later determined the driver of the pickup was intoxicated at the time of the accidents. For this reason, police arrested the man and charged him with attempted murder; gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated; three counts of assault with a deadly weapon other than a firearm; and hit-and-run resulting in property damage and resisting arrest.
Further investigation on the case is underway.
