EXETER, California (August 4, 2016) – An injury traffic collision occurred in the area of North Spruce Road and Highway 198 on Thursday evening, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The 2-car accident took place at about 7 p.m.
As per the incident log, the driver of a white colored vehicle allegedly ran a red light and collided with a white pickup truck. One person was reportedly pinned in one of the cars involved following the crash.
Fire department officials along with the paramedics were requested to attend to at least one person who was hurt in the wreck. The dispatch initially described the injuries sustained as severe, but then changed the report to minor.
It was not immediately known however if the wounded victim was treated at the scene or was taken to the hospital for further aid.
The investigation is ongoing.
