SAN BERNARDINO (April 12, 2017)- According to the Press-Enterprise, Fabian Zepeda, 27, of San Bernardino, has been identified as the motorcyclist involved in a freak fatal accident Tuesday morning.
The incident took place just after 9:00 a.m. when the driver of a Ford Taurus lost control as he traveled on Adams Street. The Taurus driver veered off the road hitting a mailbox until entering a yard before it struck a pole causing its wires to scatter across the roadway.
Moments later Fabian Zepeda drove into the path of the wiring triggering a gruesome scene as he was somehow decapitated before his motorcycle continued southbound before crashing at Highland Avenue.
Police officials questioned the Ford driver and were able to determine that he was not under the influence of any drugs or alcohol after administering a blood test. The unidentified man was not arrested but will ultimately be held liable.
Both the San Bernardino Police Department and the San Bernardino Sheriffs Department will team up for the investigation of this incident.
