Car Versus Bicycle Crash at Fair Oaks Intersection
FAIR OAKS, Calif. (August 21, 2024) — A bicycle accident in Fair Oaks happened Wednesday at Kenneth Avenue and Sunset Avenue.
The collision occurred at around 11:20 a.m. on August 21st, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a driver in a gold or tan Honda Pilot SUV hit the bicyclist due to unknown circumstances.
The driver stopped and paramedics responded with an ambulance for the injured bicyclist, the report said.
The rider was alert and talking after the collision and hopefully the injuries were minor ones.
Meanwhile, the driver involved was cooperating with authorities on scene.
It’s unknown what led up to the traffic accident, but there are stop signs in all four directions and marked crosswalks on three sides of the intersection. It also appears there are bike lanes and traffic signs posted are 35 mph for motorists.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the bicycle accident in Fair Oaks.
