Cyclist Hospitalized After Collision on Old Winding Way
Auto vs. Bike Crash in Fair Oaks
Our sources indicated a man riding a bike collided with a blue Toyota Camry near the 7950 block of Old Winding Way in Fair Oaks. The precise circumstances that led up to the crash remained under investigation.
CHP logged the case at about 2:40 a.m.
When rescue teams arrived at the site, they immediately checked the conditions of all parties involved in the mishap. Officials later confirmed the cyclist sustained major trauma as a result of the collision. An ambulance transported the victim to Mercy San Juan Hospital for treatment, and further evaluation. Pending confirmation, the name and age of the patient have not been discussed thus far.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole morning. They continue to work at this time to determine exactly how and why the crash happened on Old Winding Way in Fair Oaks.
