Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Crash Near Fair Oaks Boulevard and New York Avenue
FAIR OAKS, CA (April 2, 2021) – An accident seriously injured a pedestrian near Fair Oaks Boulevard and New York Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident occurred on Friday evening. Officers reported the crash at about 7:50 p.m.
CHP said a Toyota Tacoma struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Fair Oaks. The driver hit the person near the intersection of Fair Oaks Boulevard and New York Avenue.
Victim Hit by Car Near Sunrise Boulevard
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene near Sunrise Boulevard. They found the victim who ended up suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the wounded party to a hospital for treatment. The name of the patient and their condition at this time were not disclosed.
Meanwhile, officials did not mention if the motorist stopped after hitting the pedestrian. They forced the roadway to briefly shut down following the collision.
Authorities are still determining the cause of the crash.
