Girl Dies Days After DUI Crash Near Grange Middle School
Fairfield, CA (March 27, 2023) – An 11-year-old passed away days following a pedestrian accident that occurred on East Tabor Avenue, according to KRON4 News.
Earlier reports indicated the juvenile was walking in the area near Grange Middle School Thursday morning, March 23. When the pedestrian approached the intersection of East Tabor and Blossom Avenue, she stepped into the traffic lanes and attempted to cross the street. While walking inside the marked crosswalk, an oncoming motorist did not slow down and struck the juvenile.
The force from the impact resulted in life-threatening injuries to the pedestrian. On Monday, March 27, the coroner’s office confirmed the death of the girl.
Meanwhile, investigators determined the driver involved in the unfortunate event was intoxicated. Given that, police arrested 32-year-old Elena Lindsey McGraw-Ogans on felony DUI.
Detectives continue to gather information surrounding the deadly accident that happened on East Tabor Avenue in Fairfield.
