Pedestrian Killed in Fairfield Crash on North Texas Street Near Pacific and Alaska

FAIRFIELD, CA (March 18, 2022) – A crash killed a pedestrian on Texas Street near Pacific Avenue in Fairfield.

According to The Reporter and KCRA News, the tragic accident took place on Thursday morning. Officers reported the collision shortly after 6:20 a.m.

The incident happened on March 17 when a vehicle struck a male pedestrian for an unknown reason in Fairfield. The driver hit him as he crossed the 2200 block of North Texas Street.

Victim Hit by Vehicle

Firefighters along with the paramedics then arrived at the scene near Pacific and Alaska avenues. They found the man lying on the ground as a result of the accident.

Police said he ended up suffering from major injuries as a result of the accident. Medical personnel soon rushed the victim to a hospital, where he died.

The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the man.

Officers forced North Texas Street to shut down for several hours following the collision. The cause of the fatal Fairfield pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
