Victim, 48, Suffers Several Injuries after Being Hit by car
The collision was reported at 7:28 p.m.
As per the article, Fairfield police said a 48-year-old resident was found injured in the street after being struck by a vehicle driven by 78-year-old Jerry Swearengin.
The victim was transported to a hospital with multiple injuries. The name and condition of the patient at this time remained unknown but police affirmed the pedestrian is expected to survive.
Swearengin, of Fairfield, was then arrested on suspicion of DUI following the accident.
