Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Fairmont Park Crash on Home Avenue
SAN DIEGO, CA (March 27, 2021) – A suspected DUI crash seriously injured a pedestrian along Home Avenue in the Fairmont Park neighborhood.
The incident began when a white 2014 Toyota Scion was going south near the 4000 block of Home Avenue in Fairmont Park. The car hit a silver 2006 Toyota Sienna that was parked and unoccupied in the area at the time.
The 19-year-old man driving the Scion continued and then struck a male pedestrian. The 56-year-old man was taking recyclables out of the back of his Nissan Versa prior to the collision.

Police said the impact forced the Nissan into a silver 2007 Honda Accord. The Honda ended up pushed into a silver 2017 Toyota Highlander in the area.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene near the 60 Freeway. They found the pedestrian who suffered a serious leg injury as a result of the crash.
Medical personnel took the victim to a hospital for treatment. His name and condition at this time were not released.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Scion complained of shoulder pain following the wreck. Officials believed that he was under the influence when the accident happened.
