Major Injury Crash on State Route Highway 299
FALL RIVER MILLS, Calif. (Jan. 26, 2022) — A major injury Fall River Mills crash on Highway 299 happened Wednesday afternoon in front of Ray’s Food Place.
Two vehicles collided about 2:17 p.m. on Jan. 26 in this community just north east of Redding, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a Dodge pickup truck and a Dodge Challenger collided in the westbound turn lane. An elderly woman suffered major injuries in the collision.
Additionally, a 5-year-old child occupied one of the vehicles, but it’s unknown if they were injured.
Meanwhile, paramedics responded to transport the injured woman to a hospital. Also, police arrested a female driver on DUI charges following the Fall River Mills crash.
Investigators are working on the case and will determine fault. for the Fall River Mills crash.
