Early-Morning Crash Sends Vehicle Off Roadway in Fallbrook Area
FALLBROOK, Calif. (Dec. 19, 2025) — Authorities are investigating a car accident Friday morning that left a vehicle off the roadway on southbound Daily Road, just south of Doville Ranch Road near Fallbrook.
California Highway Patrol officers were dispatched to the scene on Dec. 19th shortly before 6 a.m. after reports of a silver sedan overturned on its side down an embankment. According to initial information, the vehicle — identified as a silver Kia — was difficult to see from the roadway and had come to rest approximately three feet down an embankment, completely off the road.
Fire personnel and San Diego County resources responded to the scene. At the time of the initial response, it was unclear how many occupants were involved or whether anyone was injured. Fire officials later advised they were still en route as CHP worked to assess the scene.
Investigators noted tow chains near the vehicle, suggesting someone may have attempted to move it prior to authorities arriving. Officials believe the crash may have occurred earlier in the morning before it was reported.
Recovery efforts were delayed due to limited tow truck availability in the area. Multiple towing companies reported extended response times, and a wrecker was ultimately dispatched from Temecula. Tow operators later determined that two trucks would be required to safely remove the vehicle from the embankment.
No further details regarding injuries or the cause of the crash have been released. The incident remains under investigation.
