Woman, 56, Killed in Fallbrook Hit-and-Run on East Alvarado Street
FALLBROOK (October 21, 2018) – A pedestrian was killed after an alleged hit-and-run accident along East Alvarado Street on Friday night, according to San Diego Union-Tribune.
The collision took place at about 8:55 p.m. near Alvarado Court.
As per the article, California Highway Patrol said a 56-year-old Fallbrook woman was walking in the eastbound lane of East Alvarado Street when she was struck by a vehicle.
Paramedics responded to the scene and found the victim with suffering from severe injuries. She was then rushed to Palomar Medical Center where she was later pronounced dead.
Pedestrian Hit by Car in Fallbrook Friday, Oct 19
The name of the deceased pedestrian has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the driver involved did not stop to render aid and fled the scene.
The suspect car was described as possibly a newer model red Ford Mustang. The incident remains under investigation.
