At Least 1 Hurt in Collision on San Diego Freeway Tuesday
Fallbrook, CA (January 15, 2022) – On January 11, a suspected hit-and-run crash occurred on Interstate 5 just south of the scales in Fallbrook.

The California Highway Patrol group reported a white Ford Escape collided with another vehicle in the northbound side of I-5, also known as San Diego Freeway. Following the accident, the other driver fled the scene.
Shortly after 9:13 a.m., emergency crews arrived at the location. First responders found the Ford with major damage and disabled in the number one lane of San Diego (5) Freeway.
Paramedics attended to all possible victims in the accident. After the evaluation, officers confirmed at least one person sustained injuries as a result of the wreck. The name and age of the victim remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole morning. Authorities continue to investigate several unclear factors surrounding the car crash on Interstate 5 in Fallbrook.
