Woman Hospitalized After Being Struck by Falling Tree Branch in Cow Hollow Neighborhood
SAN FRANCISCO (May 31, 2018) – One person was injured after a tree branch fell down a parked car on Union Street in front of Sherman Elementary School Thursday afternoon, according to CBS News.
The accident happened around 2 p.m. in the 1600 block of Union in the Cow Hollow neighborhood.
As per the article, a woman was getting into her car when the branch from an aging ficus came down and struck her. Medical records indicated the victims was transported to a hospital for treatment of unknown extent of injuries.
Furthermore, the incident reportedly left the Mercedes involved with a shattered back window.
The officials said the ficus tree appears to be 40 to 50 years old. City crews will now remove the entire tree.
Investigators continue to determine at this time liability in the incident.
