Pedestrian Killed on Harbor (110) Freeway Connector Road
Los Angeles, Calif. (September 7, 2021) – A fatal 110 Freeway pedestrian accident happened Tuesday morning on a connector road in Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The deadly crash happened about 5:16 a.m. on the northbound Harbor (110) Freeway connector road near West Third Street, authorities said.
A bobtail truck reportedly struck the male pedestrian due to unknown circumstances.
The truck driver stopped and called 911 for help. Police say the driver told them the victim ran in front of the truck from the right shoulder to the center divider wall.
Another vehicle struck the victim first and he was thrown into the roadway in front of the truck.
Investigators seek to determine fault for the collision.
Authorities closed down the connector road at Third Street for an unknown duration.
