Fatal Crash in Anaheim on 57 Freeway
ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. (July 14, 2021) — A fatal 57 Freeway crash at Lincoln Avenue in Anaheim happened early Wednesday morning in Orange County.
The collision happened about 5:35 a.m. on July 14th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A driver in a grey sedan traveling in the northbound lanes of the 57 Freeway, just north of Ball Road collided with a white semi-truck in the right traffic lanes. One person in the vehicle suffered fatal injuries and died on scene. The report did not state how many were in the vehicle. Also, the CHP did not mention the age or gender of the person who died. The Orange County Sheriff Coroner will release the name after relatives are notified about the death.
Meanwhile, the vehicles blocked part of the slow lane following the collision.
Police issued a SigAlert for the northbound Nos. 4 and 5 lanes.
Investigators seek to determine liability for the deadly crash.
