Fatal Accident at Amar Road and Evanwood Avenue in West Puente Valley

WEST PUENTE VALLEY, Calif., (July 2, 2026) — A fatal crash occurred early Thursday morning at Amar Road and Evanwood Avenue in the West Puente Valley area of Los Angeles County.

The incident, reported on July 2nd at approximately 5:46 a.m., involved a fatal vehicular collision south of Baldwin Park, according to the California Highway Patrol. Emergency units from the Los Angeles County Fire Department were dispatched to the scene shortly after the initial report, with the first unit arriving at 5:58 a.m.

Details regarding the vehicles involved and the specific circumstances leading to the fatality have not yet been released. The identities of the victims involved have also been withheld pending notification of their families. However, it has been confirmed that one individual succumbed to their injuries at the scene.

Authorities reportedly made a hard closure of Amar Road between California and Sunset for roughly three to four hours.
