Car, Polaris Side-by-Side Crash at Intersection
LASSEN COUNTY, Calif. (Sept. 18, 2023) – A fatal traffic accident happened Friday night at Lakecrest Road and County Road A-3 in Lassen County.
The collision occurred around 9:52 p.m. on Sept. 15th, according to the California Highway Patrol Susanville.
Investigators say the driver of the Polaris RZR side-by-side was heading southeast on Lakecrest Road. When the vehicle reached the intersection with County Road A-3 (Standish Buntingville Road) it collided with a Dodge Ram pickup truck.
Jacob Beauchman was driving the white truck and heading southwest on Standish Buntingville Road before reaching the intersection with Lakecrest Road.
Upon impact, the driver of the side-by-side and his passenger, Stacie Sisson, were ejected from their vehicle into the roadway.
The driver of the side-by-side died at the scene. Meanwhile, Stacie Sisson was transported by ambulance to Renown Medical Center in Reno.
Jacob Beauchman did not report any injuries.
The case remains under investigation to determine fault.
