Rollover Crash on Redwood Road in Alameda County
ALAMEDA COUNTY , Calif. (Oct. 11, 2021) — A fatal Alameda County crash happened Monday night on Redwood Road near Pinehurst Road in the Oakland area.
At least one person died in the solo-vehicle crash Monday night on this rural road in unincorporated Alameda County, the California Highway Patrol said.
The fatal Alameda County crash happened about 9:24 p.m. when a vehicle crashed and overturned on its roof and about 10 feet down an embankment. California Highway Patrol officers responded to the scene on Redwood Road near Pinehurst Road, CHP Officers said.
Upon their arrival at the scene, CHP officers from the Castro Valley station located the vehicle with two people unconscious and trapped inside.
At least one of the died at the scene, but it’s unknown if the other one survived or not. Alameda County sheriff’s coroner’s deputies will identified the victim or victims after family members have been notified.
A tow truck removed the vehicle for evidence.
