Deadly Crash on I-5 Freeway in Altadena
ALTADENA, Calif. (May 24, 2022) — A fatal Altadena crash happened Monday afternoon on the northbound Interstate 5 Freeway near Van Nuys Boulevard.
The collision occurred about 12:03 p.m. on May 23rd, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officers reported someone was found inside a white van at the eastbound Van Nuys Boulevard off ramp. The report does not mention the victim or victims names, ages or identity. The Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner will release the name after relatives are notified.
Police issued a SigAlert for roughly one hour.
There is an investigation into what led to the crash.
