Fatal Anaheim Crash on Magnolia Avenue, Broadway; Driver Arrested
Woman Killed in Collision Involving DUI Suspect
ANAHEIM, Calif. (Feb. 17, 2025) — A 56-year-old Long Beach woman is dead after a two-vehicle crash involving a DUI suspect on Magnolia Avenue in Anaheim.
The traffic accident happened around 10 p.m. on Feb. 16th, near Broadway, according to the Orange County Register.
The drivers of a red SUV and a white sedan were involved in a collision at the intersection.
The Anaheim Police Department sent deputies to the fiery crash scene where the northbound driver in the car had turned left into the path of the oncoming SUV.
The 56-year-old Long Beach woman in the SUV became trapped in the driver’s seat and suffered major injuries. Firefighters extricated her before taking her to a hospital, but she died roughly an hour later, police said.
Meanwhile, the second driver who was in the car, Samantha Farris, 29, of Buena Park, was arrested on suspicion of DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter.
Authorities say that prior to the collision she had been allegedly drinking alcohol at a nearby Pizza Hut restaurant.
Finally, Farris posted bail the next day and released from custody.
