Orange County Wrongful Death Lawyer
Under California law, drivers are required to stop after a traffic accident and assist a person who has been injured. A driver who flees the scene of a car accident is often scared, intoxicated or doing something illegal.
Regardless of their reasons, the decision to leave a crash scene without helping a victim is a serious crime.
The family of the deceased man has then the right to pursue a wrongful death lawsuit against the at-fault party. The claim will seek to compensate them for funeral costs, lost income and loss of love and companionship.
