ANAHEIM, Calif. (April 12, 2023) — A fatal Anaheim pedestrian accident happened Tuesday afternoon on the Interstate 5 Freeway near Magnolia Street in Orange County.
The traffic collision occurred around 4:05 p.m. on April 11th in the southbound lanes of the I-5 freeway just south of Magnolia Street, KTLA 5 News reports.
A pedestrian was seen walking in the carpool lane prior to the accident. A driver in a white pickup truck struck the man and told authorities the person may have jumped in front of the vehicle.
The victim went down in the HOV lane and another traffic lane. Authorities did not release the victim’s name or age at this time, pending notification of family members.
Investigators closed down the southbound 5 Freeway to investigate the fatal Anaheim pedestrian accident.
