Truck Driver Killed in 91 Freeway Crash in Anaheim
ANAHEIM, Calif. (Jan. 7, 2021) – A fatal Anaheim truck crash was reported Thursday morning on the 91 Freeway.
The driver of the big rig died in a fiery crash on the eastbound Riverside Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Police officers responded at 2:54 a.m. to the crash just west of Kraemer Boulevard, according to the CHP.
The truck driver was traveling eastbound on the freeway in a 2002 Peterbilt tractor trailer truck. For unknown reasons, the truck veered off the roadway and crashed into a concrete center divider, the CHP reported.
Upon impact, the truck became fully engulfed in flames. Sadly, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
There were no other vehicles were involved in the crash. Furthermore, the identity of the truck driver is unknown at this time.
Liability for the fatal crash remains under investigaiton.
