Road Rage Incident Leads to Fatal Collision
ANDERSON, Calif. (June 6, 2023) – A fatal two-vehicle crash involving a suspected DUI driver on Highway 273 and Pinion Avenue happened Monday morning in Anderson.
One person died in the two-vehicle crash after a driver allegedly drove through a red traffic light around 9:30 a.m. on June 5th, according to the Anderson Police Department.
Road Rage Incident
Authorities say the collision ended an alleged road rage incident between driver Andrew Millner, 31, of Redding, and a motorcyclist, Action News Now reports.
The Redding man allegedly chased the motorcyclist after a road rage incident that began at Highway 273 and Westside Road in Redding. Both the motorists reportedly drove at speeds above 100 mph and ran through several red lights before they reached Anderson and the intersection with Pinion Avenue. However, while the motorcyclist stopped at the intersection, Andrew Millner apparently drove through the red light and hit an innocent driver.
Driver Arrested on Murder Charges, DUI
The uninvolved motorist reportedly suffered fatal injuries in the Anderson crash on Highway 273.
Meanwhile, police determined that Andrew Millner was allegedly driving under the influence of drugs and or alcohol. He was arrested on multiple felony counts. He faces murder charges due to a previous DUI conviction. He is also charged with DUI causing great bodily injury or death, reckless driving causing great bodily injury or death, possession of Methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
