Fatal Anderson Pedestrian Accident on I-5 Freeway (Dec. 30)
Deadly Crash Involving Big Rig Truck
ANDERSON, Calif. (Dec. 30, 2024) – A fatal pedestrian accident involving a big rig truck happened Sunday night on the Interstate 5 Freeway in Anderson.
The traffic collision occurred on the northbound I-5 around 9 p.m. on Dec. 30th, near Riverside Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol report.
CHP officials reported the semi-truck was heading northbound on the I-5 when the pedestrian stepped out in front of the truck.
Paramedics responded, but the person died at the scene.
The truck driver stopped and cooperated with the investigation into the fatal Anderson pedestrian accident.
Detectives are working to determine fault for the crash and the identity of the person who died will be released after relatives are notified.
