Suspect Sought in Hit-and-run Pedestrian Accident
ANTIOCH, Calif. (June 5, 2024) — A fatal Antioch hit-and-run crash happened Tuesday night at Lone Tree Way and Deer Valley Road.
A man died in the collision at around 10:26 p.m. on June 4th in Contra Costa County, according to the Antioch Police Department and Contra Costa News.
Antioch police began performing CPR on the victim until Contra Costa County Fire and American Medical Response crews arrived at the scene. However, despite efforts to save his life, he died at the scene. The victim’s name and age were not released, pending notification of his next of kin.
There has been no description of the vehicle involved released at this time.
Finally, police continue to investigate the crash on Lone Tree Way and are searching for the suspect who fled the scene, the report said.
