One Killed, Two Injured at Bakersfield Intersection
BAKERSFIELD, CALIF. (July 21, 2023) — A fatal Bakersfield car accident at Pacheco Road and Akers Road happened early Friday morning in Kern County.
The deadly collision occurred around 12:10 a.m. on July 21st, according to Bakersfield Now.
One man died and two women were injured in the crash at the intersection when two drivers collided, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.

The man and his female passenger were traveling in one car northbound on Akers Road when he collided with a westbound car carrying two occupants on Pacheco Road. The man reportedly lost control and he and the woman riding with him were ejected from the vehicle after it collided with a fence and overturned.
Sadly, the man died at the scene, but paramedics rushed the woman from his car to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Meanwhile, the woman driving the other vehicle was uninjured, however, a woman riding as her passenger was hurt and taken to the hospital.
Also, the identities of the man who died and the injured women were not released. The Kern County Sheriff Coroner will need to notify the man’s family members before they can identify him.
Furthermore, investigators are working on the case and early indications are that speed is a factor in the crash, police said.
