Semi-Truck, Pickup Crash at State Route 119, Buena Vista Road
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (Aug. 15, 2022) — A fatal Bakersfield crash on Taft Highway 119 happened Monday morning at Buena Vista Road.
The collision occurred about 7:24 a.m. on August 15th in Kern County, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The two-vehicle crash resulted in the black Ford F-150 pickup truck crashing into a light pole and knocking it down. The semi-truck with a dump trailer was blocking the middle lanes following the wreck.
Linda Joyce Beaty, 80, of Bakersfied, died at the crash scene and a second person was taken to Kern County Medical Center by a family member with moderate injuries.
Investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the Bakersfield crash.
