
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (March 13, 2023) — A fatal Bakersfield pedestrian accident happened Monday morning on Harris Road near the auto mall.
The deadly crash occurred around 6:16 a.m. on March 13th, 2023, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.
Police officers responded to the intersection of Harris and Wible roads after a 911 call reporting an eastbound driver struck a man as he was crossing the roadway, Bakersfield Now reported.
Authorities located the man in the roadway in grave condition. Paramedics provided medical aid upon their arrival, but sadly he died on scene.
Meanwhile, the Bakersfield police spokesperson reports the driver involved stopped and cooperated with the investigation.
Police do not suspect speed, alcohol, or drugs were a factor in the crash.
The eastbound lanes of Harris Road at Wible Road were closed due to the investigation.
