Pedestrian Struck and Killed on Highway 184 in Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (March 21, 2025) — A fatal Bakersfield pedestrian accident happened early Friday morning on Highway 184, also known as Weedpatch Highway.

The traffic accident occurred just before 6 a.m. on March 21st, according to Bakersfield Now.

A driver in a black Nissan struck the victim and several witnesses stopped to help.

Paramedics and the California Highway Patrol responded to the scene and confirmed the death of the person.

Authorities closed down Weedpatch Highway between Redbank to Kernita Road due to the collision.
