Driver Hits Pedestrian in Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (Oct. 28, 2024) — A fatal pedestrian accident happened Sunday morning at Panama Lane and State Route 43 or Highway 43 in Bakersfield.

The deadly crash occurred at 5 a.m. on Oct. 27th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported a driver struck the pedestrian in the roadway due to unknown circumstances.

Police responded and they are heading up the investigation into what happened.
