Fiery Multi-Vehicle Crash on 57 Freeway in Baldwin Park
BALDWIN PARK, Calif. (June 20, 2019) — At least one person died Wednesday night in a fiery crash on the southbound 57 Freeway.
The crash was reported at 9:56 p.m. on June 19th near the Covina Boulevard off ramp. At least three vehicles were involved in the collision including a semi-tractor trailer truck that was blocking the middle lanes after the crash. The California Highway Patrol report stated that Los Angeles County firefighters responded and put out the fire in one of the vehicles. Police issued a SigAlert due to the Nos. 1, 2 and 3 lanes being shut down.
There were no further details about what happened, but the CHP is heading up the investigation.
