Bicyclist Struck, Killed in Quartz Hill
LOS ANGELES COUNTY, Calif. (August 15, 2023) — A fatal bicycle accident happened Monday night at Avenue L and 42nd Street West in Quartz Hill.
The deadly crash occurred around 10:50 p.m. on August 14th, according to KTLA 5 News.
The victim was riding a bicycle late Monday night when a driver in a Chevrolet Camaro sedan struck the person due to unknown circumstances.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department sent paramedics to the scene and located the severely injured bicyclist in the roadway. They transported the man to Antelope Valley Hospital, where he or she later died, the report said.
The unidentified person’s name, age and gender will be confirmed after their relatives are notified. Meanwhile, the damaged Chevrolet Camaro was towed for evidence after it was left at the scene.
Investigators are working on the case and will determine liability for the bicycle accident in Quartz Hill.
