Bicyclist Killed in Crash on Baseline Street
HIGHLAND, Calif. (July 8, 2022) — A fatal bicycle accident happened Tuesday on East Baseline Street in Highland.
The collision occurred about 8:42 p.m. on July 5th, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner.
The circumstances leading up to the collision are unknown at this time. The accident happened on a busy street where there are marked bicycle lanes.
San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the traffic collision in the 26000 block of East Baseline Street. The rider suffered major injuries and died at the scene just minutes following the crash at 8:46 p.m., the coroner report said.
The identity of the bicyclist will be released after his or her family members are notified.
The collision remains under investigation by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Highland Station.
