Bicycle Rider Hit by Vehicle in Fatal Santa Ana Crash

SANTA ANA, Calif. (Feb. 19, 2024) – A fatal bicycle accident happened early Saturday morning at Bristol Street and Alton Avenue in Santa Ana.

The deadly crash occurred at around 4 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 17th, according to the Santa Ana Police Department and New Santa Ana.

A northbound driver struck the bicyclist who was attempting to cross the northbound lanes of Bristol Street in an eastbound direction, police said.

The Santa Ana Police Department and paramedics from Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) responded to the intersection, but unfortunately the person died on scene.

Authorities reported the driver stopped and cooperated with the investigation.
