Man Riding Bike Killed Near Calwa Preschool
FRESNO, Calif. (August 21, 2023) — A fatal bicycle accident involving a big rig truck happened Monday on South Cedar Avenue in front of the Calwa Preschool in Fresno.
The fatal crash occurred around 12:40 p.m. on August 21st in front of 2558 S. Cedar Avenue, in the same black as the Calwa Elementary School.
Someone called 911 to report the collision and reported “there is a bike laying near the road as well.”
The man, who is believed to be in his 40s, was reportedly riding a mountain bike the sidewalk traveling southbound along Cedar Avenue.
He reportedly rode into the street and was hit by the truck trailer.
Paramedics responded along with the Frenso Police Department to the scene in the southbound lanes of Cedar Avenue, just south of Kaviland Avenue.
