Fatal Bicycle Accident Clairemont Drive and Iroquois Avenue in San Diego County

Pedestrian Struck, Killed in Crash at Clairemont Intersection
San Diego, CA (June 18, 2025) – A 54-year-old pedestrian with a bicycle was struck and killed Sunday night at Clairemont Drive and Iroquois Avenue in the Clairemont area of San Diego County.
The deadly collision occurred around 9:09 p.m. on June 15th at the Clairemont intersection, according to the San Diego Police Department.
A 56-year-old driver in a light-colored Honda Civic sedan struck the victim in a crosswalk due to unknown circumstances. The victim went down in the roadway and suffered major injuries and later died at the scene.
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle stopped and cooperated with the traffic investigation.
Authorities do not suspect alcohol and or drugs were a factor in the collision.
The San Diego Police Department’s Traffic Division is handling the investigation.
