Bicyclist Struck, Killed on Elm Avenue
FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (Sept. 19, 2024) — A fatal bicycle accident happened Wednesday night on Elm Avenue and Laguna Avenue in the Fresno County area.
The deadly crash happened at around 9:20 p.m. on Sept. 18th between Laguna and Livingston avenues, according to a ABC 30 News report.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a driver struck the bicyclist due to unknown circumstances and the rider went down in the roadway.
Paramedics responded and the victim was confirmed dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, it’s unknown at this time what circumstances led up to the accident, but the rural area where it happened does not appear to have street lights or a bike lane.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the bicycle accident on Elm Avenue in Fresno County.
