Fatal Bicycle Accident Glenwood Drive, Bean Creek Road in Scotts Valley

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, Calif. (August 26, 2026) — A person riding a bicycle died in a car accident on Wednesday afternoon along Glenwood Drive at Bean Creek Road in the Scotts Valley area of Santa Cruz County.

According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch log, the rider was seriously injured in the crash around 12:30 p.m. on August 26th, 2026.

Paramedics responded to the crash scene and began CPR on the victim; however, the person died at 1 p.m., the report said.

The circumstances leading up to the collision were not disclosed and liability for the deadly crash will be determined.
