Fatal Bicycle Accident Mojave Drive in Victorville; Hit-and-run Driver Sought VICTORVILLE, Calif. (March 3, 2021) — A Victorville bicycle accident on Mojave Drive involved a hit-and-run driver.

The Victorville crash happened at 12:29 a.m. on March 3, 2021, according to the Victor Valley News.

Also, the motorist struck the bicycle rider in an accident on Mojave Drive east of Amethyst Road, police said.

Deputies responded to a 911 call and found the victim unresponsive in the roadway. The person suffered major, traumatic injuries. Paramedics rushed the injured person to a local hospital. By 1:04 a.m., the person was pronounced deceased.

The Victorville Station’s Major Accident Investigation Team (M.A.I.T) responded and started the investigation.

Victorville Fatal Bicycle Accident

According to police, investigators report both the suspect and victim were traveling westbound on Mojave Drive in the number two lane.

The suspect hit the rear tire of the victim’s bicycle. That’s when the bicycle rider crashed and was thrown off the bike.

Meanwhile, the suspect fled the scene without stopping to help the badly-injured victim. The identity of the victim will be released after family members are notified.

Investigators would like to speak to any witnesses to help them find the suspect. Deputy C. Bennington or T. Wetzel is the leader investigator at the Victorville Police Station at 760-241-2911.
