
Woman Riding Bicycle Killed in Crash Involving Semi-Truck
NORTH HIGHLANDS, Calif. (Jan. 17, 2025) — A fatal bicycle accident involving a semi-truck happened Thursday afternoon Roseville Road at Longview Drive in North Highlands
A woman believed to be in her 50s died in the collision at around 2:20 p.m. on Jan. 16th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials investigating the crash scene stated the semi-truck started to make a right-hand turn at the same time the bicyclist was trying to pass on the right side.
The woman riding the bicycle suffered major injuries and died on scene, officials said.
Meanwhile, the truck driver stopped and cooperated with the investigation.
